Mark R. Deweese
Sales and Service Manager
Mark started his career in the material handling business in 1991 as Operations Manager in a Midwest manufacturers’ representative company. Under his leadership, the operations and service aspects of the business grew from four employees and three service vehicles to 38 employees and 29 service and installation vehicles. As sales increased, Mark built four two-person installation vehicles to support sales when dedicated sub-contractors couldn’t keep up with the volume of installations.
Mark was instrumental in building the client confidence that resulted, by 2016, in approximately 15,000 pieces of equipment being under planned maintenance service contracts.
He served on the Global Service Council for the world’s leading Loading Dock and Industrial Door Manufacturer for 15 years, and served as president of the council for two years.
Eventually Mark transitioned from running day to day operations to acting as Project Manager for all projects over $50,000. This involved handling all aspects of each project, from the beginning of the sales process though commissioning. The largest project he managed was valued at $1.5 million.
In 2017, Mark started North American VRC with the express purpose of helping business owners, plant managers, and general contractors utilize and maintain today’s material handling technology in the most efficient and cost effective way. Even the best equipment can fail to perform at potential unless every step of the design, installation, training, maintenance, and repair cycle is managed by someone highly experienced and knowledgeable.
